Brendon Grabowski is a classical guitarist, based in Los Angeles, California. Currently pursuing his DMA at USC Thornton, Brendon serves as a Teaching Assistant to Scott Tennant. His awards include 1st Prize at Great Lakes, "Brouwer in Buffalo," winning unanimously with Leo Brouwer on the panel, 2nd prize at Dallas International, and was a finalist in the Ex-Aequo Online International Competition. Aside from teaching, doctoral work and building a solo career, he is a member of the USCGQ (USC Guitar Quartet, which recently commissioned Joao Luis to write for the quartet. This piece will be premiered as part of the Legacy Series at USC Thornton this spring, and will be a recurring event each year, commissioning a new work. With his DMA in progress at USC, Brendon holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (MM) and The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam (BM.) Brendon plays on Augustine Regal Blue strings and a 2012 Kenny Hill Signature series.
