Thiago Colombo is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and professor at the Center of Arts in the Federal University of Pelotas. Between the years of 1998 and 2005, he was awarded in competitions in Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Spain. In recent years, he has worked as a performer, teacher and lecturer at various music festivals in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Portugal, Germany, England, Netherlands, Italy, France and Russia, promoted by institutions such as the Udmurtia Symphony Orchestra (Russia), Maison Brésil (France), University of Montevideo (Uruguay), Guitarras del Mundo Guitar Festival, National University of Litoral, University of Rosario (Argentina), Peruvian- American Cultural Institut (Peru), Caroso Guitar Festival, Piacenza Guitar Festival (Italy), Bath Spa University (UK), Munganga Theatre (Netherlands), Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra, Theatro São Pedro Chamber Orchestra, ULBRA Chamber Orchestra, Sesi-Fundarte Orchestra, UCS Symphony Orchestra (Brazil), among many others. In 2003 he released his first solo album, entitled "Sonata". This album received three Açorianos music awards. In 2006, also under the auspices of Fumproarte, the album "Reminiscências" was released. His latest CD “Latin Guitar Connections (TRL Records – Bath – UK – 2017) was awarded in two categories in Açorianos music prize: Composer and Instrumentalist.
